Million death quake
Episode 20
In October last year, six Italian seismologists and an ex-government official were convicted of manslaughter in the wake of the deadly 2009 earthquake. British Geological Survey seismologist Ruger Musson's book 'Million Death Quake', released in the same month, explores the many questions and uncertainties that still surround earthquakes, and the practical solutions we can take to protect ourselves from them. Sarah talks to him about his work, what questions remain to be answered, and why there is still so much uncertainty amongst the public about the nature of earthquakes.
