Hear from Dr Philip J Ball – Chief of Geothermal Innovation for Clean Air Task Force (CATF). 

Philip has served as a geological specialist across the oil and gas industry for two decades, gaining global experience within NOCs, INOCs, IOCs, and Energy start-up companies. 

Philip’s education includes a PhD and MSc in geology from Royal Holloway University of London, a BSc in History and Geology from Keele University, and an MBA from the London School of Business and Finance.  

Since 2018, Philip has been researching innovation, entrepreneurship, and carbon management within the energy sector. 

Today, Philip is a subject matter expert in geothermal energy, and he works within the Superhot Rock Geothermal (SHR) team with the aim of establishing SHR as a geothermal technology of the future.
