Event details

The Hydrogeology Group of the Geological Society of London will be hosting a conference on 'The evolution of Mining: Securing a Sustainable Future'. This conference is dedicated to the part that hydrogeologists are playing in supporting mining developments in the UK to supply future mineral needs for our green transition as well as re-developing our historical mining legacy. The UK has a rich history of mining which continues to this day.

This conference will look to the future by also considering our past; At the ways that the UK's current mining industry is focussed on supplying the minerals to support the green agenda for energy transition as well as looking to how the hydrogeological community is re-purposing mining waste and by-products into sustainable commodities for the future.
