Event details

The First European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) Workshop on the Triassic and Jurassic Plays in Northwest Europe: Enhancing Sustainable Energy Security and Storage Potentials

This informative three-day workshop will delve into stratigraphic and reservoir challenges, seal capacity and integration, and innovative approaches to enhance exploration and production for Jurassic and Triassic plays. Our focus will extend beyond the North Sea to include the Norwegian Sea, West of Shetland, Atlantic margins, and northern Europe.

Industry experts and academics will come together to share insights and develop strategies that benefit both sectors. We will highlight the latest techniques, address current challenges, and explore future solutions to better understand the Triassic and Jurassic stratigraphy in Northwest Europe.

The workshop will explore a variety of themes with the goal of fostering discussions. Topics will include:

  • Innovative Exploration Techniques
  • Triassic and Jurassic Reservoirs, differences in UK vs Norway
  • Energy Transition Initiatives & Energy Security Perspectives
  • Knowledge for Safe Carbon, Hydrogen, & Nuclear Storage in Triassic North Europe
  • AI for Eco-Friendly Exploration
  • Stratigraphy & Source-to-Sink Dynamics
  • Modern Environmental Studies
  • Diagenesis & Reservoir Quality
  • Real-Time Drilling Challenges
  • Production Depletion Solutions
  • Top Seal and Structural Geology & Rock Mechanics
  • HPHT reservoirs and PPP for Triassic

Abstract submissions are welcomed in the fields of oil and gas, hydrogen, geothermal, nuclear and CO2 storage.
