This volume provides an up-to date summary of the Cretaceous rocks within the British Isles and their stratigraphical correlation. Ammonite biostratigraphy, chemostratigraphy, magnetostratigraphy, micropalaeontology and lithological techniques were used for correlation. The formal lithostratigraphical nomenclature is presented and reference is made to the international geological timescale.
